International Relations requires Physics!

So today was the date for a midterm for my PLS203 class. Turns out it got postponed today due to a copy machine breaking down.

Well, anyways, aside from that, we basically got to go over the study guide today instead. Turns out that nobody understood one of the essay questions. Unfortunately, the professor wouldn't give us the answer, and only did the whole "colder, warmer" routine. Anyhow, there was one part where a girl kept asking what the professor meant by a "source".

Our professor plainly mentions that a source has to be physical. Not abstract. The girl continues to ask the same question in different ways. She constantly uses abstract concepts as examples, and the professor finally gives up. He walks back to his desk, crumples up a piece of scratch paper, then throws it at her.

Girl:"Ahhh!"
Professor:"Ok, what is the source of that?"
Girl:"Uh... Anger?"
Professor:"No."
Girl:"Energy?"
Professor:"No. That's not physical. You can't see it."
Girl:"The throwing motion of your arm?"
Professor:"Look, what would a seven year old say?"
Class: "You."
Girl:"Oh. But I can see abstract too!"
Professor:"What? How? Can you see an idea? Can you see a personality?"
Girl:"I can see your personality!"
Professor:"Oh I can't wait to hear this."
Girl:"Your personality is smiling!"
Professor:"That's a facial expression I'm giving off. Not a personality."
Girl:"Well......"
Professor changes the subject to stop wasting time.

I don't know, I thought this was pretty funny.

Into the Great Unknown.

And here is my blog. I've been thinking about starting one, but I've always ended up falling short somewhere along the line.

Today however, I have finally decided to start a blog. It's topics shall be of whatever I feel like talking about. This being the vast space known as the internet, I probably won't have mass exposure, but I occasionally want to write things out and let people know what I think without caring who reads it.

In the unsettled future, I may yet improve upon my blog, and perhaps do many other great things. For now though, it shall be my public thoughts. Feel free to leave comments if you drop by.
